Team Leaders and Assistants
Primarily responsible for:-
- Briefing at start
- Ensuring team are wearing fluorescent jackets and carrying torches
- Assigning a ‘minder’ for children taking part
- Directing team, with driver, along correct route
- Safety of team members and the public
- Debriefing at end
To consider role for ‘Safety’ to aid driver and collectors at road junctions, during collection and to monitor tail of procession
(The police permit for House-
A minimum of six collectors are required for each route.
House to House collection as directed by the Team Leader.
Each must collector must wear a white fluorescent jacket and carry a torch.
To either ride on the the Sleigh or walk beside it.
To be seen and to wave to children and parents en route.
To be ready for and assist with photo requests (no children allowed on the Sleigh -
To be familiar with the route.
To be in possession of easily readable street map showing route.
To drive route at ‘walking pace’ as directed by the Team Leader.
All participants MUST read these instructions.
